In progress, drawn in pencil on a sealed birch board, 8 x 10″. I like the challenge of trying to keep the things that make Emilia Clarke look like herself, and look like Daenarys Targaryan, while modifying them in ways that seem appropriate. Her shoulders, for one thing, they’re broad but she has a childish sort of posture with her arms out slightly. There’s the silvery hair… Her teeny little chin… And her eyebrows are unusually straight. Post a comment if you wanna.
I punched up the contrast a little bit to show the pencil. Please subscribe for updates to see this painting as it progresses.
